Community Service
Placing importance in the values of community life, we seek to cultivate an attitude of thoughtfulness and courtesy. You learn to act for the well-being of others as well as for yourself. Your faculty adviser plays an impor-tant role in this growth. Advisers help determine your goals, guide your efforts to meet those goals and evaluate your progress. Hoosac is supportive but not overprotective. Our aim is to encourage motivation and foster your self-esteem and self-confidence.
New students and faculty are encouraged to sign and adhere to the Hoosac Code of Honor .
Hoosac Code of Honor
As a member of the Hoosac School community, I believe truthfulness to be the foundation of personal integrity, reliability and justice, and I acknowledge these qualities to be essential to the realization of my fullest potential and to the well-being of the community of which I am a part. I, therefore, pledge myself, with God's help, to be truthful in all matters and to conduct myself in a manner which shows forth personal integrity and reliability and which promotes justice. I further commit myself to assisting all members of the community in the upholding of these principles.
If I observe an act which constitutes a breach of honor, I will urge the offender to report the offense to a Prefect or to the Dean of Students, or offer counsel to the offender, or report the offense myself. Deus Regit.
