College Placement

The number one reason students attend Hoosac is to get prepared for and gain entrance to college.  Hoosac's role in the college admission process is extensive and is geared to not only helping students get into the college of their choice, but making sure that the student chooses the right college.

All VIth formers are enrolled in “Senior Seminar” a first trimester class with topics ranging from the application process, study skills, activity resumes, the essay, and all test preparation ( SAT, ACT, SATII and TOEFL) .  The college counselor also meets with the Vth form starting in February to begin the college search, SAT Prep and database registrations (common app, scholarship and cappex).

100 % of Hoosac students go on to college or university.  Every VIth former is accepted to a higher institution, usually his or her first choice.
